Whithersoever

I'm in love with the word whithersoever. It means "to whatever place we shall go." I want to use this word immediately and indefinitely. But I can't think of a single situation in which to use it, because really if I'm going somewhere then I know where I'm going, so I don't need a whither. Was this word invented before Google maps?

  1. "Whithersoever" is the real-life version of a phrase popular with the lads from my college days: "Neveronceagaininsomuchas."

"Whithersoever, it matters not to me." Try using it like that to emphasize that you do not care where you go while discussing plans with friends - assuming you have "friends." Yes, those are finger quotes areound the word friends.

Sailing across the bay to the Cheniere Caminada, Edna felt as if she were being borne away from some anchorage which had held her fast, whose chains had been loosening--had snapped the night before when the mystic spirit was abroad, leaving her free to drift whithersoever she chose to set her sails.Visit Site
